hindrance

Today I've discovered that I'm all kinds of wrong.

Firstly, the sock.
You may or may not recall adventures in gauge and tension.
So, as the first sock was knitted way back at the start of October, the second sock is, quite obviously, larger than the first. Hopefully the decreases will make it work. Otherwise, they're doomed to be fraternal twins.

Blocked the sleeves for starsky. Can I start laughing yet? I think they stretched to about six feet long.
Did it seem obvious when they took a bit too much yarn when knitting? Sorta. Crossing my fingers that the wool will shrink as it dries like the fronts did. We'll see.

I started the swallowtail shawl, and promptly confused the front and back sides within the first chart (however, I am actually reading the chart.).

Oh, and then I found out I was totally incorrect when it came to parents and not wanting knitted gifts. Which means I need to find another shawl pattern. I panicked for like, .5 seconds until I recalled that I have "A Gathering of Lace" on the reserve list at the library.

What was that I was saying about the holiday season going smoothly?
